The Catwalk Analysis of Balmain Womenswear

Balmain S/S 2021 fashion show is held in Jardin des Plantes, paring with BGM of Blinding Lights of The Weekend to create a strongly nostalgic vibe. LG OLED seems to bring audience to the scene. Fluorescent colors are bold and eye-catching, catering to current youngsters who pursue individuality. Balmain uses fluorescent colors to awaken vigor and energy and endow us with bravery and power to go through this difficult time.

This season Olivier Rousteing re-explores perennial 1970s patterns of Pierre Balmain. PB monogram gets crossed with each other, recreating labyrinthine gardens that Mr. Balmain loves. Mr. Balmain fuses intricate labyrinth gardens during Renaissance with his favorite black-white patterns, contributing to complicated PB monogram which is displayed in a modern way this season.

In order to pay tribute to classics, this season Olivier combines Mr. Balmain's symbolic designs with dazzling elements, such as the nearly 2 million Swarovski crystals in PB monogram. Silver gowns become strongly futuristic with Swarovski elements and exude the shiny charm.
