“Welcome to Matthieu Blazy's New Chanel Universe”
CHANEL Spring/Summer 2026 show took place on the evening of October 6, 2025, at the Grand Palais in Paris, led by new Creative Director Matthieu Blazy. The venue was transformed into a vast interstellar universe, with models walking the Milky Way runway to present the designs.

Matthieu Blazy's inspiration centered on the love story between founder Gabrielle Chanel and her lover Boy Capel, embodying the brand's romantic and emotional spirit. The show opened with short men's-style suits, combining tailored menswear elements with the house's classic tweed, illustrating the origins of Mademoiselle Chanel's fashion inspiration. The collection also featured reinterpretations of Chanel's everyday attire—such as transforming loungewear into sheer dresses—and used soft knits to create comfortable, free-spirited women's wear. Camellia motifs were powerfully expressed, while tassels and worn-in details symbolized a deep affection for objects.

1. Key Colors
CHANEL's Spring/Summer 2026 color narrative is refined and subdued, rooted in earthy tones such as Clay, collectively creating a sense of primal elegance. Upon this foundation, a series of vibrant hues—flame-like Fiery Red, lively Coral Reef and Sprucestone, as well as the soft Dahlia—are strategically introduced, adding rich visual layers and seasonal vitality to the understated base, together composing this season's grand and poetic cosmic story.

Tweed Jacket + SkirtThis season, CHANEL's most iconic tweed suit has been completely reimagined. Designers have replaced the traditional tailored silhouette with a boxy, cropped jacket featuring more masculine characteristics, paired with a matching skirt in the same fabric. The hem is adorned with fringed edges that resemble worn wear but are in fact meticulously embroidered with beads—"traces of love" tassels—or designed with bold high slits to enhance fluidity. This look breaks away from the original formality and rigidity of the suit set, presenting a modern, relaxed, and effortlessly cool attitude
The iconic short jacket retains its essence, but injects a masculine-inspired "polished strength" through broader shoulders and a relaxed boxy silhouette. The bottom breaks free from traditional skirt suits, pairing with wide-leg pants or slit midi skirts, perfectly echoing the designer's narrative inspired by Boy Capel's men's wardrobe, creating a relaxed yet sophisticated "effortless ease".
