Chanel's Resort 2020 collection was released in Grand Palais. The theme was Destination CHANEL. This collection was designed by Virginie Viard who absorbs the design ideas of Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld. Her special freshness and delicacy add pure and luxe qualities to Chanel's items.

Braided and Piped Blazers
The blazer collection is cosy and utility with the Chanel style. Blazers with or without collars, shoulder lines, rounded or square shapes and braided piping are glamorous.

Tiered Dresses
Tiered chiffon dresses are girly. The circular lace is like a clock, while the romantic prints are like landscapes. The railroad-like prints and tiered design add a romantic resort feel.

Workwear Fashion Styles
Gabardine and glazed cotton are used for outerwear. The inspiration taken from workwear interprets mocha brown, cobalt blue and blacks. Slightly exaggerated designs are comfortable and utility. Dressy coats are worn over cotton poplin shirts with frills, creating a clashing between romance and sobriety.

Checked Textures
Dimensional check textures on tweeds add an elevated feel. The cropped jackets and sleeveless jackets are cool.

Bowknots
Bowknots are re-interpreted. Oversized bowknots are used as bras or placed on shoulder straps. The combinations of bowknots and shirts or dresses are attractive.
